UCF Federal Credit Union was founded in 1971 to serve the Faculty and Staff of Florida Technological University (FTU) before it became known as the University of Central Florida. Alumni, Students and Knight Boosters, as well as employees at the Central Florida Research Park, became eligible for membership in the years to follow. UCF FCU is a non-profit, member owned financial co-operative. Our mission is to provide our members with quality, comprehensive financial services. We are proud to serve over 5,800 members of the UCF community and their families.
As a Federal Credit Union, UCF FCU is regulated by the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the U.S. government. Savings accounts are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, the strongest of the Federal deposit insurance funds. Individual retirement accounts (IRA's) are now insured up to $250,000.
