UCF Federal Credit Union was founded in 1971 to serve the
faculty and staff of Florida Technological University (FTU) before
it became known as the University of Central Florida. For over 40
years, UCF Federal Credit Union served the staff, faculty,
students, alumni and boosters of UCF, providing quality,
comprehensive financial services.
In November 2011, the members of UCF FCU voted to merge with CFE Federal Credit Union, bringing
together two credit unions who share a heritage of service to
education in Central Florida. The UCF FCU brand continues,
operating as a division of CFE Federal Credit Union
under CFE FCU's charter. Anyone who lives, works, attends school,
volunteers, or worships in Orange, Osceola, Lake, or Seminole
County may join. Busineses are also welcome.
CFE FCU was founded in 1937 as Orange County Teachers' Federal
Credit Union. CFE FCU has grown from a small financial
cooperative to the thriving credit union it is today with over $1.1
billion in assets and more than 120,000 members. CFE
FCU is consistently recommended by BauerFinancial for its strength and
security.
